I bought this brush as my introduction to old school shaving. Since I was just getting started, I did not want to spend a fortune for a brush. This one fits the bill. Not expensive and does a good job. It does shed a few hairs each use, but it is still new so I don't know if this is a serious problem. Using a brush to apply a good shaving cream is the only way to go. A very enjoyable experience.

This brush is one of the cheaper ones that I have seen in the market. I have been using it for a few months. I like it mostly. Initially, I thought a lot of hairs separated from the brush, but that has slowed down now. It DOES hold more moisture and lather than a synthetic hair brush, but could hold much more. Buy it if you want a cheaper version of the badger brush OR are just starting out on the "old-school" double-edge shaving approach. Otherwise, if you consider yourself to be an expert, buy a better one

My first brush and I cannot recommend it. It builds a good lather, but won't release soap to your face. The more I used the brush the more lather it REMOVED from my face. Thoroughly disappointed! And as a previous reviewer noted... yes it stinks!

It seems a little light and moderate build quality, but it works fine and I've only lost a few hairs now and then. I make sure to rinse it thoroughly and let it dry with the bristles down and I'm confident it will last for awhile. Overall, I like it and don't regret buying it - especially at the price!

My husband recently got into "old school" shaving -- safety razor, soap in a mug, the whole nine yards. I originally got him a different brush elsewhere that was made of synthetic bristles and did the job OK, but not what he was expecting. Got him the Tweezerman, which is made with boars hair, and it made a load of difference. He absolutely loves it. Considering most boars hair brushes are upwards of $50 or more, this is an AMAZING bargain

I did not receive this item and when I contacted the seller the only response I received was to contact the post office. I responded that I had checked there and they did not have the package. I did not hear back from the seller so I would not buy anything from this seller

O.K. the price is right and it is soft enough. Holds a pretty good lather but it is smaller than I thought it would be. I have relegated it to travel brush duty and it is perfect for that. If you are new to wetshaving this would be a great first brush. Loses few bristles and it is a whole lot better than the cheap Walmart boar hairs brush I had for my travel brush. Had it just a couple of days but I already like it and if the quality is good and if it lasts a few years then it will have been a great buy.

We've gone through some different shaving brushes in our home. You'd think, or at least hope, that the more expensive ones would work, wear or feel better than the more reasonably priced models (such as this Tweezerman one), but then you'd inevitably be disappointed. Tweezerman just makes good stuff. Even the finish on this brush's handle wears better than the more expensive ones'. It gets a rinse & couple of shakes after each use to free the water & soap; that's all it needs. You can't go wrong! P.S. If you want to understand why someone would use a brush instead of just their hand, it's because the badger bristles exfoliate the skin and prick up the beard (whiskers) better.

This brush is great, for the money. It does shed some hairs at first, but after about the third shave, that should stop. It's a great starter brush if that's what you're looking for.

Everything is fine, except I was a bit irritated by shedding...it leaves bristles on my face, and they get into the razor. I hope it will pass with time, as other reviewers reported. Foaming action is very good, and badger bristle is much more pleasent to the touch than boar. I'll report again on this item in few months.
